Evangelization Center (Founded in 1528)

Origin and Function:
Founded by Friar Francisco de Bobadilla, This convent was one of the pillars of missionary work and religious teaching during the early years of the colony in León de Nagrando.

Archaeological Findings:
During the excavations of the year 2000, important funerary contexts were located in the cloister area:

• Population Skeletons of Spanish citizens and native inhabitants.
• Diversity Remains of men, women, and children, reflecting the community's integration into the convent's funeral rites.

Technical Data:

Materials: Mud brick, talpuja earth plaster, and tile roof.
